WHAT IS TRIPINDI SRARDHA
Tripindi Srardha is an ancestral ritual performed to alleviate the Pithru Dosha caused by not performing the Srardha ceremony for Pithrus for 3 consecutive years.
While srardha pujas (regular offerings for the dead in the family) are performed for a specific person and are limited to three generations of ancestors, namely the father, grandfather and great-grandfather, the tripindi srardha puja pacifies not only the ancestors of three generations but also other generations (for known and unknown ancestors).
Known and unknown include the deceased father, grandfather and great-grandfather on the paternal side and the mother, grandfather and great-grandfather on the maternal side. You can also perform these rites for your deceased stepmother, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, grandmother, great-great-grandmother, wife, son, daughter, paternal uncle, maternal uncle, Brother, paternal aunt, maternal aunt, sister, paternal uncle's son, son-in-law, nephew (sister's son), father-in-law, mother-in-law, teachers, priests, friends, the guru and the disciples. The names of all those who are still alive should be excluded from these rituals.
WHO SHOULD DO IT
Those who irregularly perform Srardha ceremony for their deceased parents should do Tripindi Srardha, especially if they have not performed for 3 consecutive years.
One who suffers from inability to marry, marital disharmony, difficulty in conceiving a child, miscarriage, birth of mentally retarded or handicapped children, death in childhood, etc., is one of the signs of suffering due to the subtle bodies of the ancestors. One can determine if one is suffering from such problems that cannot be solved despite various conventional methods, and take spiritual measures to overcome these problems.
Every family should ideally perform this ceremony once every twelve years, if not at least once in a lifetime.

WHY TO DO IT IN GOKARNA
Gokarna is a holy city on the west coast of Uthara Karnataka district in the state of Karnataka.
Gokarna is celebrated as one of the three holiest places (Tristhali), the others being Varanasi and Rameswaram.
In this "Kashi of the South" is the only Atmalinga in the country. The deity here is considered to be the Atma (soul) or the Prana (life) of Shiva himself. It is also known as "Bhoologa Kailash".
The Ramayana and the Mahabharata speak of Gokarna, while the Skanda Purana devotes an entire chapter to it.
The Koti Theertha is considered very sacred and is the place where ancestral rituals take place. It is located near the Mahabaleshwar temple and it is believed that performing the ancestral rituals in this sacred lake washes away all our pithru/ancestral doshas/curses and shabas
