How does one approach questions related to Legal Reasoning?

Questions are formulated based on newspaper articles and law books from which specific passages are taken.

Break down the principle into smaller parts by remembering the words "AND" and "OR". This is because this year candidates will have to find the law and facts from the text. There will be no factual information.

Based on the question, the selection portal will test the candidates' practical understanding of the implicit laws based on the given situation with limitations.

Preparation Strategy for Legal Reasoning

Applicants are advised to practice with the previous year's question. The format of the questions has changed, but the basic understanding of the problems has not.

The three sections - English Language, Legal Reasoning, and Logical Reasoning - are in the same series, which means that the same strategy applies to the other two sections. The only difference is that candidates have to set more tasks for the Legal Reasoning questions.

While filling out the application form, candidates have the option to purchase the previous year's questionnaire on the payment page. Candidates can prepare by purchasing the sample tasks online which will help them to understand the pattern of questions and the level of the exam.

How to prepare for English Language for CLAT

Candidates can easily score with the English Language section of the exam CLAT. The questions are at the 12th grade level, and the passages are related to technical and scientific topics, historical events, or current affairs topics.

How to approach the CLAT questions?

Usually in most texts there are statements or arguments that contradict the main point of the text. With their help, you can quickly solve the questions posed.

Remember that the answers are based on the 5 Ws, i.e. Who, What, Why, When and Where.

Try to understand the wording of the questions; the question is easy to understand but worded in such a way that it confuses the candidate.

The vocabulary is asked in two forms - first comprehensively and second in connection with the questions in the text. To understand the vocabulary that is asked with the text, candidates must read one or two lines before and after the word or phrase in question.

Preparation strategy for the English language

Candidates should read the newspaper daily as the texts may be from current affairs.

Reading the newspaper will also help to understand the statements and arguments of the text.

Try to have a discussion with your parents or companions. This is an artistic way to engage and learn.

Practice the grammar from the books/notes from the standard. Also write down the difficult word and its meaning to use in learning.

Solve practice problems and practice tests regularly.

How to prepare for Legal Reasoning for CLAT?

In the Legal Reasoning section, questions will be in the form of text passages of approximately one wording that relate to facts, situations, and scenarios related to public policy, legal matters, or moral philosophical issues. Although it is not mandatory to know the law, information about general awareness of current legal or ethical issues is sufficient.

How to prepare for current affairs and general knowledge for CLAT 2023?

In the current affairs section, which refers to the topics of current news or journalistic sources, a text of about 450 words can be asked. Try to understand the issues of a topic or significant event in depth rather than just knowing facts.
