Choosing a suitable CLAT tutoring institute is a must for a law student as this institute will play a leading role in preparing and passing the CLAT. Therefore, a CLAT candidate must consider the below mentioned points while making a decision.
The challenges for the Legal Sector
The number of pending cases in India is enormous, but this is more of a logistical problem than a qualitative anomaly. The holistic problem facing young lawyers is an old one: lack of confidence.
Law is a subject that’s not considered as difficult as CA or medicine. The reason for this is the oversupply of law graduates. Many potential clients don’t consider young lawyers good enough to practice in court. The same is true for older lawyers who hire young lawyers and deliberately pay them a measly salary.
We chatted with a senior Supreme Court lawyer who’s over 25 years of litigation experience. He wishes to remain unnamed for this portion.
When asked what he pays the young college graduates he hires, he replied derisively, “The question itself is moot. You’ve to understand that law graduates aren’t capable of understanding how the courts work, let alone practicing law professionally. By hiring them from Delhi Law Colleges, I’m doing them a favor. To answer your question: I don’t pay them anything for their first year of training. Many of my former employees thank me for the hard hours I made them work without pay. A metal worker throws gold into the furnace to shape it appropriately. That doesn’t make him a bad guy. Law students also need to be shaped
We also asked him if he’d a problem with the quality of legal education itself. some are very poor, but the top universities do a good job. The main problem is with the quality of lawyers entering the market every year. If the Bar Council adopted a strategy similar to what the ICAI uses for accountants, we’d essentially guarantee the quality of the lawyers who move up. If that happens, I’d have no problem paying my staff a good salary.

The idea isn’t a bad one. An all-India bar exam after graduation would solve many problems related to the quality of lawyers coming up each year. If the exam is of a high standard, we can even expect future law graduates to be paid as well as CAs or software engineers from top engineering colleges.
The factors
The factors used to rank law schools are listed below
1. Quality of students
There is often debate among academics about whether IITs and IIMs are as good as they are because of the quality of students who come each year. A similar argument could be made for law schools.
A law school with an admissions policy that is purely merit-based and based on a strict admissions policy tends to have the best students in the country. Thus, the stricter the admissions policy, the better the quality of the students.
2. Quality of the faculty
The quality of the faculty can be a deciding factor for a law school. A law degree is essentially a study of a country’s constitution in its entirety. This includes the study of a large number of case studies that must be understood in detail.
Considering the theoretical scope of the course, top-notch lecturers are required to create an engaging classroom atmosphere. This factor cannot be underestimated, as the difference between the best law schools in India and the others often lies precisely in this area.
Perception of the law school
The perception of a law school is a very critical factor in evaluating an institution of any kind. There are a number of factors that influence the perception of a law school, such as internships, alumni evaluations, rankings in journals and magazines, and infrastructure.
However, perception alone can be a very deceptive factor. For example, you may always hear good things about a particular college through advertising and marketing campaigns, but the reality is quite different. So it is important that a college is perceived well, but this perception should be backed up by other factors.
